*Tragus berteronianus J.A. Schultes. Spiked Burgrass. Phen: Apr-Nov. Hab: Disturbed dry areas, waste areas, along railroad tracks, around wool-combing mills, other mills, and chrome ore piles (where perhaps only a waif). Dist: Native of Africa and Asia. Also reported from chrome ore piles at Newport News, VA.
